Maersk Upgrades India-Middle East-Europe Service

Maersk Line is upgrading its Europe-Middle East 3 (ME3) Service between India, the Middle East and Europe, effective this month.

The service enhancements include new port calls at Izmit, Turkey, and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The fixed-day weekly service currently deploys six vessels of roughly 3,600 20-foot equivalent units capacity.

The upgraded ME3 port coverage is as follows:

Westbound: Pipavav, Nhava Sheva (Jawaharlal Nehru), Jebel Ali, Salalah, Port Said, Mersin, Ambarli and Izmit.

Eastbound: Mersin, Ambarli, Izmit, Port Said, Jeddah, Jebel Ali, Pipavav and Nhava Sheva.

The first westbound vessel sailing under the new rotation was the Nedlloyd Asia that departed from Pipavav on Jan. 2. The first eastbound sailing is also the Nedlloyd Asia, departing from Mersin on Jan. 22 and calling Jeddah on Feb. 2.
