Saudi Airlines, DHL Launch Dubai-Europe Freighter Service

Saudi Airlines Cargo and DHL Global Forwarding will launch a new thrice-weekly direct freighter service between Dubai and Europe in March.

Departures to Al Maktoum International Airport at Dubai World Central from Brussels using B747s will be offered twice weekly from Brussels and once each week from Amsterdam.

“This deal will help us to further expand our activities in the UAE, where we already operate scheduled B747 freighters from Sharjah to Lagos and N'djamena on top of 75 weekly passenger flights to Saudi Arabia," said Peter Scholten, vice president of commercial at SAC.
