AN AUSTRALIAN SUGAR CANE FARMER who lost his arm after being mauled by his pet crocodile pleaded that the government not destroy his 6 1/2-foot-long, 220- pound pet. The crocodile clamped its jaws around the farmer's arm during feeding time, and he had to poke it in the eye before it would let go. The arm had to be amputated. The crocodile will be given a new home in Brisbane Zoo.
