Barcoding, Inc. Complements Beverage Distributor’s Route Accounting System with Mobile Hardware Solution

Baltimore, Md. – Oct. 17, 2011 — Barcoding, Inc. , a leader in enterprise-wide mobility solutions, today announced the implementation of a mobile hardware solution for Wright Wisner Distributing Corp. to complement the company’s eoStar by Rutherford route accounting software solution with the automation of data collection and processing through rugged mobile devices and printers. The mobile solution increases accuracy and efficiency for both delivery-side and intra-office processes for the Rochester, N.Y.-based beverage distributor. Wright Wisner and its subsidiaries, CH Wright Distributing and BE Wright Distributing, distribute nearly 8.5 million cases of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from today’s most well-known suppliers –including MillerCoors, North American Breweries, Yuengling, Boston Beer, Cadbury and Polar—to nearly 5,000 retailers throughout western New York.

After implementing eoStar by Rutherford, the leading route accounting software solution for beer distributors, wine distributors, importers, consumer product distributors and general wholesalers, in May of 2010, Wright Wisner needed to find a partner that could provide proven and reliable hardware solutions in order to take full advantage of the software’s ability to integrate back-office applications with mobile devices. In June 2011, Barcoding completed a mobile hardware implementation with handheld, rugged mobile devices and printers utilizing automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) technology. This enabled Wright Wisner to achieve greater visibility by automating data collection in the field and data processing in the office, resulting in improved inventory management and data accuracy, enhanced customer service, and expedited route reconciliations.

Scott Welch, IT Manager, Wright Wisner, said, “We chose to work with Barcoding because of the company’s extensive experience in the mobility solutions space. Our interest was in a partner, not just another vendor, and Barcoding’s name continually surfaced during our search. Today, Barcoding’s mobility solutions have become an invaluable asset for not only our delivery and office staff, but also on an operations level in helping Wright Wisner on a daily basis to make better business decisions and formulate better market strategies that ultimately improve our bottom line.”

Barcoding will demonstrate its mobile solutions, like the one implemented for Wright Wisner, at booth 1225 during the National Beer and Wholesalers Association’s (NBWA) Annual Convention and Trade Show, Oct. 16-19, 2011, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The full demonstration, “Accelerating the Supply Chain,” will illustrate how Barcoding leverages the strength of its partners’ offerings to build customized mobile solutions that facilitate the tracking of goods from presale, to the warehouse, through delivery. At each station, the benefits of various mobile devices including tablets, rugged handhelds and printers can increase efficiency, traceability, accuracy and visibility throughout the supply chain.
