FedEx Trade Networks Names President, CEO

Fred Schardt to lead global freight forwarding arm of FedEx

FedEx Trade Networks, the freight forwarding subsidiary of FedEx, appointed Fred Schardt president and chief executive officer, effective Oct. 1.

He will be responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of FedEx Trade Networks, as well as the company’s global operations and product portfolio. Ed Clark retired from the position on Sept. 30.

With more than 35 years in the international freight forwarding, transportation and logistics industries, Schardt joined FedEx Trade Networks in 2008 as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
