Starting Oct. 29, Virgin Atlantic Cargo will offer shippers a same-day service between the U.S. and India.
The carrier will launch a new daily A330 service between Mumbai and London Heathrow, with flights from Heathrow to the U.S.
John Lloyd, director of cargo at Virgin Atlantic, said Mumbai is a thriving commercial center with a strong exchange of trade with the U.K. and good onward shipment potential.
“We are also seeing a high level of interest for transshipment traffic over London to our destinations in the U.S.,” he added. “The timing of our schedules means we can offer very competitive same-day and next-day services for shipments from India to the U.S.”
“Virgin Atlantic also offers customers in India next-day deliveries to other destinations in the U.S,” the company said, and also offers daily connections between London and New Delhi.
