Wallenborn Announces Expansion

Luxembourg-based overland transportation company Wallenborn Transport today announced its expansion in Belgium, the Netherlands and the U.K., including the opening of new offices Amsterdam and London, the employment of additional staff and the deployment of more capacity.

The investment follows the acquisition from Wallenborn of air freight trucking company Rutges Cargo by entrepreneur Jimmy Yeh, The Loadstar reported; Rutges had been declared bankrupt on Nov. 27,.

Rutges Cargo’s reorientation will move it away from air cargo trucking to other sectors, such as healthcare, national transport and distribution and warehousing, Wallenborn said in a written statement.
