Singapore’s Changi Airport saw cargo volumes contract by 2.8 percent year-over-year last month.
Overall, 152,884 metric tons were handled in May at Changi, the world’s 11th largest cargo airport by tonnage in 2011. This compared to 148,243 metric tons in April and 163,170 metric tons in March.
Freight volumes handled over the first five months of this year totaled 745,000 metric tons, 1.3 percent lower than a year earlier.
