Improving U.S. and European consumer confidence was credited with rising demand for freight movements at Dubai International Airport last month.
Total volume increased 8.6 percent from 173,531 tons in January 2012 to 188,520 tons last month, according to figures from Dubai Airports.
“The latest data signals a return to robust growth in cargo volumes at Dubai International,” the company said in a statement.
