With an overall slowdown in the movement of goods across borders, international air freight decreased by 1.2 percent in October, while total freight remained steady, falling 0.3 percent, according to the Airports Council International.
Several major international freight hubs experienced sharp declines in air freight traffic. For example, major hub airports Incheon, Paris and Anchorage observed year-over-year declines of 1.9 percent, 5.0 percent and 13.1 percent, respectively.
Conversely, domestic freight traffic volume increased by 1.8 percent in October.
