Aircraft charter specialist Chapman Freeborn Airchartering appointed Gavin-jon Deeks president of U.S. operations, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Prior to taking this position, Deeks was director of sales at Chapman Freeborn’s global headquarters in the UK. He takes over the new position from Carol Norman, recently appointed deputy chairman of the group.
Demand for air chartering is increasing as recession recovery accelerates, the company said, with January and February revenue reaching $8.9 million.
Chapman Freeborn’s cargo charter department specializes in moving urgent cargo, peacekeeping equipment and humanitarian supplies, heavy and overdimensional breakbulk pieces, high value commodities, dangerous goods and AOG parts.
