US Airways' Cargo Revenue Falls 13.3 Percent

US Airways reported operating revenue from cargo in the quarter ending Sep. 30 was $35 million, down 13.3 percent year-over-year from the third quarter of 2011.

The airline's total quarterly operating revenue increased 2.8 percent year-over-year to $3.5 billion; cargo makes up a small percentage of that overall.

Quarterly profit was $245 million, jumping from last year’s $76 million in the third quarter. Profit in the first nine months of 2012 was $600 million, up from $53 million in 2011.
