Service between Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and the carrier’s hub at Changi Airport will grow to twice weekly later this year. The airline boosted weekly passenger service between the two Southeast Asian cities from 49 to 56 flights on Sept. 15.
“The additional freight capacity will provide shippers more choices and faster movement of their cargo to markets around the world.” SIA Cargo said.
SIA Cargo has also now increased the frequency of its freighter services from Changi to Xiamen in China from three to five times weekly, and to Shanghai from seven to eight times weekly.
“Frequency to Sydney was increased from four to seven times weekly, while Auckland frequency increased from three to five times weekly,” said the carrier. “These additional services were mounted mainly to cater to increased import demand into the Soutwest Pacific region.”
