International Airlines Group, the merged British Airways-Iberia carrier, reported year-over-year growth for a second month, with September traffic increasing 1.2 percent from a year ago on a 3.8 percent increase in available capacity, despite a weak performance by Iberia.
The U.K. carrier’s revenue increased 4.3 percent, and the load factor increased 0.4 points to 75.9 percent.
British Airways’ cargo traffic jumped 6 percent, while Iberia slumped 15.3 percent. The gap between the two carriers continues to widen.
