Finnair Appoints Globe Air Cargo in Singapore

Finnair has appointed Globe Air Cargo as its general sales and service agent in Singapore.

The new contract gives Globe Air Cargo responsibility for sales and marketing on the airline’s Airbus A340 passenger flights from Singapore to Helsinki. Freight forwarders in Singapore can also achieve fast connections via Helsinki to Finnair’s worldwide network of over 70 destinations.

Globe Air Cargo, part of the ECS Group, expects shipments on the route to include industrial products and equipment and oil and gas components, as well as live tropical fish.

Sanjay Kumar, Globe Air Cargo’s Country Manager in Singapore, said: “We look forward to forging a close and long-term strategic cooperation with Finnair and we are confident that ECS Group’s strong profile with forwarding customers will help the airline to increase its benefits ex Singapore and in other locations where we work together.”

Through its continued investment in the region, ECS Group now has established representation in key markets such as Vietnam, India, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.
