Emirates’ flight EK440 operates four times weekly, using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, and frequency is slated to increase to daily starting Feb. 1, 2013.
Each flight will provide 14 tons of commercial cargo space, said Salem Obaidalla, Emirates’ senior vice president of commercial operations in the Far East and Australasia.
Emirates SkyCargo, the air freight division of Emirates, will move a mixture of commodities, including perishable goods, building supplies, machine parts, cosmetics and oils and resins.
