Atlas Air Worldwide’s 4Q Profit Hits Record High

Atlas Air Worldwide’s net income jumped 56 percent from $33.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2011 to a record $52.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2012.

Quarterly revenue rose 17 percent year-over-year to $452.8 million in the fourth quarter.

For the full year of 2012, profit was $129.9 million, increasing 35 percent from $96.1 million in 2011. Annual revenue rose 18 percent year-over-year to $1.7 billion.

“[W]e achieved the best quarterly and second-best annual operating results in the company's history and generated significant free cash flow,” said William J. Flynn, president and CEO, in a written statement.
