The parent of American Airlines, AMR Corporation, reported September cargo figures for their principal subsidiary, showing a slump to 136,463 million ton miles, down 8.3 percent from the 148,797 million ton miles reported in September 2011.
For the nine months to Sept. 30, ton miles dropped to 1.33 million, a 1.2 percent decrease year-over-year from the 1.34 million reported for the same period in 2011.
