AA Cargo Traffic Down 4.9 Percent in July

AMR Corporation, parent of American Airlines, Inc., reported a 4.9 percent year-over-year decline in system cargo ton miles for the month of July, at 145,833, down from 153,421 ton miles in the same month last year. Volume is off slightly year-to-date as well, at 1,046,445 ton miles, down 0.5 percent from 1,051,270 ton miles in the first seven months of 2011.
