American Airlines Cargo will restart its daily service from Chicago to Helsinki on June 12.
The nonstop link to the Finnish capital will be supported with truck-feeder services to Amsterdam, Stockholm, Arlanda, Gothenburg, Malmo and London Heathrow five days a week.
Earlier this month, the carrier resumed daily services to Dublin, Ireland, using a B767-300 widebody aircraft departing for Chicago from the Irish capital.
Tristan Koch, AA Cargo's managing director of cargo sales and marketing, said the summer timetable destinations previously had been well-supported out of Europe. “They are ideal for moving both pharmaceutical and electronics products, both of which are major commodities from these countries into the U.S. and beyond via our network,” he said. “Our Expedite and Expedite TC services are available to customers using both services.”
