AirBridgeCargo Adds Paris

AirBridgeCargo Airlines launched the first scheduled freighter flights between Russia and France.

The Russian all-cargo carrier is deploying some of its 747-400 freighters for a twice weekly service between Paris Charles de Gaulle airport and Moscow's Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports.

Paris Charles de Gaulle, Europe's second largest cargo hub, is the seventh European airport served by AirBridgeCargo. The launch of the service follows the recent acquisition of AirBridge’s tenth 747 freighter.

By The Numbers: European Airlines' Freight Traffic.

AirBridgeCargo, a subsidiary of the Volga-Dnepr group, said the new service is targeted at French shippers of fashion and apparel products and pharmaceuticals.

French shippers will also be able to access the Chinese market and AirBridgeCargo's other Asian destinations via its Moscow Sheremetyevo hub, the airline said.

AirBridgeCargo's other European destinations are Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Maastricht, Malmo, Zaragoza, and Milan.
