AA Cargo and DHL Move Supplies to Afghanistan

The Journal of Commerce Online - Press Release
American Airlines Cargo and DHL move supplies to Afghanistan

In the true spirit of giving, American Airlines and DHL Express, the world’s leading express delivery and logistics company, combined their resources to send steak dinners and supplies to U.S. troops based in Afghanistan. American supplied DHL Express with a temperature controlled Envirotainer packed with more than 5,000 donated steaks. In addition, American Airlines also transported 2,500 pounds of football jerseys donated by the Dallas Cowboys. “Through our partnerships, we were able to pool our resources and work through the complicated logistics of transporting supplies to Afghanistan. This is the least we can do to support the people who defend the freedom we enjoy,” said Tom Del Valle, American’s Senior Vice President, who traveled to Afghanistan with the shipments.
